Notices for week beginning 3/4 September 2010, 25 Ellul 5770 On Friday 3 September Shabbat begins at 7.28 pm. Kabbalat Shabbat and Ma’ariv begin at 8.00 pm. On Saturday 4 September, Shacharit begins at 9.30. The introduction to the Parasha will be given by Pip Wolfson. Shabbat ends on Saturday evening at 8.29 pm. Rosh Hashanah begins on Wednesday 8 September at 7.17 pm. Mincha and Ma’ariv begin at 7.00 pm. As first day Yom Tov falls on a Thursday, an Eruv should be prepared before lighting the candles. On Thursday 9 September, Shacharit begins at 8.30 am and ends at 1.30 pm (approximately). The Shofar will be sounded at around 11.00 am, and the Children’s Service will begin after that. Services for 2nd day Rosh Hashanah will be at the same times. On Friday evening, 10 September, at 6.30 pm there will be Tashlich at Southend Pond, followed at 7.00 pm by Mincha and Kabbalat Shabbat at the Shul. Shabbat Shuva begins at 7.12 pm. The introduction to the Parasha on Shabbat Shuva will be given by Morris Pearlgood. We regret to announce the death of Sid Levy.
