Catford & Bromley Synagogue has celebrated its 80th anniversary in style with a dinner accompanied by music from The London Cantorial Singers. Happily the date coincided within two days of the 100th anniversary of the Balfour Declaration so the Melave Malka was a double celebration.

A guest speaker, a professor of Modern Jewish History gave us the the benefit of his in depth knowledge  which gave the 150 strong gathering a fascinating insight into he background of the Balfour Declaration.
